Getting Started
BulkSend is a Zimbabwe-based multi-channel messaging platform that lets businesses send bulk SMS, WhatsApp, voice, MMS, and Viber messages from a single dashboard. You sign up free, import your contacts, build a campaign, and send — messages are delivered across Econet, NetOne, and Telecel at a 99.2% delivery rate.
Yes. Creating a BulkSend account is completely free — no credit card required. You can explore the dashboard, import contacts, and build campaigns before spending a single dollar. When you’re ready to send, you can choose a monthly plan or top up on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Getting started takes four steps: (1) Sign up free at app.bulksend.co.zw/register, (2) Import your contacts via CSV or manual entry, (3) Build your SMS campaign using our campaign builder and message templates, (4) Schedule or send immediately. Most users send their first campaign within 15 minutes of signing up.
No. BulkSend is designed for every business owner, not just technical teams. The dashboard is intuitive — you can build campaigns, manage contacts, and view delivery reports without writing a single line of code. Developers who want deeper integration can use BulkSend’s full REST API.
Pricing & Plans
BulkSend’s standard cost per SMS is $0.022 across all plans. The Starter plan at $19/month includes 1,000 SMS — that’s less than $0.022 per message. For high-volume senders on Enterprise or Custom plans, the cost per SMS can drop as low as $0.006–$0.015, making BulkSend one of the most cost-effective options in Zimbabwe.
No. BulkSend credits never expire. Unlike many platforms that force you to use credits within 30 or 90 days, your BulkSend balance stays active indefinitely. This means you can top up when it suits your budget and use your credits at your own pace — no pressure, no waste.
Monthly plans (Starter at $19 through Enterprise at $999) give you a set bundle of SMS credits and platform features billed each month — ideal if you send campaigns regularly. Pay-as-you-go lets you top up any amount (minimum $10) with no monthly commitment and no expiry — ideal for occasional senders or businesses just starting out.

BulkSend offers a free account with no credit card required, allowing you to explore the full platform. To send messages, you’ll need to select a plan or top up. Contact the BulkSend team to ask about trial credits for qualifying businesses.
The minimum top-up on BulkSend’s pay-as-you-go service starts at $10 for Starter-level access. All credits are non-expiring — your balance rolls over indefinitely with no monthly fees attached.
Features & Channels
BulkSend delivers messages across all three major Zimbabwean networks: Econet, NetOne, and Telecel. BulkSend achieves a 99.2% message delivery rate across these networks, ensuring your campaigns reach customers regardless of which network they’re on.
Yes. BulkSend supports WhatsApp Business API messaging, allowing you to send text, images, and video messages to customers via WhatsApp at scale. WhatsApp messaging is included in the Business ($349/month) and Enterprise ($999/month) plans. Note that WhatsApp Business API requires a verified business account.
A Sender ID is the name that appears in your customer’s phone as the SMS sender — for example, “ZimBank” or “ShopZim” instead of a random number. BulkSend’s Sender ID Management feature lets you register and use your brand name on all outgoing SMS. Sender ID is available on all BulkSend plans.
Yes. BulkSend’s Two-Way SMS feature lets customers reply to your messages, and you can manage all reply threads from the dashboard. You can also set up automated keyword responses so customers can self-serve (e.g., reply “STOP” to unsubscribe or “INFO” to receive more details). Two-Way SMS is included in the Business and Enterprise plans.
Yes. BulkSend’s campaign scheduler lets you set a specific date and time for your campaign to send — ideal for promotions, reminders, and time-sensitive alerts. Campaign scheduling is available from the Starter plan onwards.
Yes. BulkSend supports automated voice messages — pre-recorded audio delivered simultaneously to thousands of recipients. Voice messaging is included in the Professional, Business, and Enterprise plans.
Contacts & Campaigns
You can import contacts by uploading a CSV file directly into BulkSend’s contact manager. The platform supports custom fields — names, dates, account numbers, or any data you choose — so you can personalize every message. You can also add contacts manually or via the API for automated sync from your CRM or eCommerce system.
Contact storage depends on your plan: Starter supports 5,000 contacts, Professional supports 25,000, Business supports 100,000, and Enterprise supports unlimited contacts. Pay-as-you-go users should contact BulkSend for contact storage options.
Yes. BulkSend’s contact management system lets you create multiple lists and segments, apply custom filters, and target specific groups for each campaign. Advanced segmentation is available on Professional (10 lists), Business (25 lists), and Enterprise (unlimited lists) plans.
Yes. BulkSend supports dynamic personalization fields — you can insert each recipient’s name, account number, appointment date, or any custom field into your SMS template. For example: “Hi [First Name], your appointment at CityClinic is confirmed for [Date].” Personalization is available on all plans.
Delivery & Reliability
BulkSend achieves a 99.2% message delivery rate across Econet, NetOne, and Telecel networks in Zimbabwe, and across 220+ countries internationally. Delivery reports are available in real-time on the analytics dashboard.
SMS messages sent through BulkSend are typically delivered within seconds. Sending speed depends on your plan: Starter sends up to 300 SMS/minute, Professional up to 500/minute, Business up to 1,000/minute, and Enterprise up to 2,000/minute — allowing you to reach tens of thousands of customers in a matter of minutes.
SMS is one of the most resilient communication channels during load-shedding. As long as mobile network towers are operational, SMS messages are delivered and received on mobile phones — even when customers have no internet or data. This makes BulkSend SMS particularly valuable for reaching Zimbabwean customers during power outages.
ulkSend supports message delivery to 220+ countries worldwide, making it suitable for Zimbabwean businesses with international customers, as well as international organizations (such as NGOs) operating in Zimbabwe.
